I went quiet for a few weeks; the result is a 6,000 word story about four pickleball courts at Ojai City Hall.1
Since we’re less than a week out from Election Day 2024, I went ahead and removed the paywalls from my long-form interviews with mayoral candidate Andy Gilman and City Council candidate Kim Mang. I did make repeated attempts to schedule an interview with mayoral candidate Michelle Pineiro. Ultimately, she offered to provide written responses to my questions. I declined, because I want to offer readers in-depth, back-and-forth conversation with candidates and decision-makers. I also didn’t feel that would be fair to my other candidate interviewees.
